Ronald McDonald House Charities Case Study

Ronald McDonald House Charities is holding its 11th annual fundraising event on April 18. Runnin for the House is a 5 k run – 1 mile walk with an early morning warm up with Ronald McDonald. The competitive 5K competition starts at 8:AM and the non-competitive walk at 8:10. Using DoJiggy’s crowdfunding software, they have over 100 participants spreading the word to their friends and families, and taking online donations.

DoJiggy Merchant Services is providing secure payment processing for Ronald McDonald House Charities. Donations, product sales and sponsorship packages are processed online providing a safe, user-friendly experience for all. With sponsors like Ronald McDonald, Coca Cola and Capital One, the foundation staff have worked hard to create these offerings.

The fun merchandise for sale on their crowdfunding website includes a pair of Ronald Striped Socks to wear at the event or just around town. Sleepin’ In for the House is their general donation product: “Not an early riser, but still want to support RMHC? Stay in your own bed, sleep in and make a donation to the House!”

“It’s something we see every day – children healing because they’re surrounded by their families. And while RMHC may not be able to make the medicine taste better or erase the pain of a much-needed treatment, we can help lessen the burden for nearly nine million families each and every year. Since 1974, our network of local Chapters has been making children happier and healthier by keeping families together – giving them a place to rest and refresh. A place that feels like home. These programs, tailored to meet the urgent needs of each community, can now be found in more than 62 countries and regions across the globe.”
